TopNotch AI SEO Tool Documentation

Notch Content Intelligence is most useful when you treat it as a decision aid, not a publishing machine. It maps what your WordPress site already contains, compares that map with keyword research, and gives you a clearer starting point for deciding what to update, merge, link or create.

Notch Content Intelligence documentation covering site audits, keyword decisions, topic clusters and internal linking

Start with the workflow, not the score

The plugin deliberately separates observation from action. A high opportunity score does not mean a page will rank. A multi-page Search Console query does not automatically mean cannibalization. A pillar score is an internal structural signal, not a Google authority metric. The useful part is the context: which URL appears to own a topic, where overlap exists, how a keyword fits an existing cluster, and what supporting links are already available.

If this is your first time using the plugin, begin with the setup guide. Run the site audit before importing keyword research so the plugin has a current map of your own content. After that, work through the decision labels rather than creating a new URL for every keyword.

Documentation

Getting Started

Run the first site audit, import research, understand the main screens and decide what to review first without changing published content automatically.

Google Search Console Setup

Connect your own Google OAuth client, use the exact redirect URI shown by the plugin, choose a Search Console property and sync read-only query and page performance data.

Keyword Import

Prepare CSV, XLSX or JSON research, understand which fields are optional, and avoid treating missing search volume or difficulty as if the plugin had live keyword data.

Understanding Audit Results

Read Already Exists, Ignore/Merge, Merge or Reframe, Write Long-Tail, Write New Pillar, Write Standalone and Needs Review as editorial signals rather than automatic instructions.

Privacy & Data Handling

See what stays in WordPress, what is sent directly to Google when Search Console is connected, what Disconnect removes and what the uninstall setting controls.

FAQ & Troubleshooting

Work through common audit, import and Search Console problems before resetting data or making changes to the site.

Changelog

Review shipped changes by version. Release notes distinguish what is available now from ideas that may belong to later versions.

Support

Find the information to include when you need help so a problem can be reproduced without sharing passwords, API secrets or unrelated private data.

What the plugin does not do

Notch Content Intelligence does not publish posts, rewrite articles, change SEO metadata, create redirects or delete URLs. It does not invent live search volume or a universal Google keyword-difficulty score. Search Console integration is optional and read-only. Those limits are intentional: content decisions still need editorial judgment and knowledge of the business behind the site.
