Getting Started with TopNotch Site Doctor Pro

Before you install

Keep a current backup of any business-critical WordPress site before installing or updating diagnostic and repair software. TopNotch Site Doctor Pro is an add-on, so TopNotch Site Doctor Free must remain installed and active.

Install the Free engine

  1. Sign in to WordPress as an administrator.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload the current TopNotch Site Doctor Free ZIP and activate it.
  4. Open Tools → TopNotch Site Doctor and run the diagnostics once so you have a baseline.

Install the Pro add-on

  1. Download the Pro ZIP from the secure purchase or license-delivery message.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload the Pro ZIP itself; do not unzip it first.
  4. Activate TopNotch Site Doctor Pro Add-on.

If WordPress reports that the destination folder already exists, check whether an older Pro build is already installed. When a licensed update is available, use the normal WordPress plugin update flow instead of deleting a working installation unnecessarily.

Activate your license

  1. Open Tools → TopNotch Site Doctor → License.
  2. Paste the complete license key from your purchase message.
  3. Choose the activation action once and wait for verification.
  4. Confirm that the license shows Active, the correct plan is displayed, and private updates are enabled.

A Pro 1 Site license allows one active installation; 5 Site and 15 Site plans allow the corresponding number of active sites; Unlimited is intended for a larger own/client portfolio. The Pro feature set is the same across paid tiers.

Confirm private updates

Go to Dashboard → Updates → Check again. If a newer licensed Pro release exists, WordPress should offer it through the private TopNotch update channel. If the installed version is already current, WordPress will simply report that no update is needed.

Run the first Pro review

Return to Tools → TopNotch Site Doctor. Start with Diagnostics, then open Repair Center. Read the evidence and likely owner before approving any action. Use Search Intelligence only after Google connection is configured, and enable Monitoring after you are satisfied that the current scan is a useful baseline.
